Explain what happened
Describe your sport, the circumstances of the injury and recent changes in training load. Explain which movements are now difficult.
Set out your goals
Returning to competition and everyday comfort may require different plans. Discuss goals and timing without treating a rapid return as guaranteed.
Agree who guides your activity
Ask how readiness will be assessed and who will coordinate rehabilitation. Rely on your assessment and individual plan rather than an athlete’s video.
Prepare your questions
Which activities are currently appropriate? What signs mean you should stop? When is reassessment needed? Keep the agreed advice in writing.
